Featured Products

CGM Lingo or Stelo

Here are two of the non-prescription versions of the continuous glucose monitors I mentioned in September 2025’s blog post.

If you don’t have an Apple watch, Garmin, or Fitbit, this little affordable jewel works great at counting your steps.

After doing my research for the best affordable walking pad, this is the one I purchased and I’ve been very happy with it. It is a little longer and wider than some of the cheaper ones but has less bells and whistles than the more expensive ones. It would easily slide under a bed or, in my case, under an end table by the couch. It doesn;t have bars/handles so if you have trouble with balance, this will not work for you unless you use it in conjunction with a standing desk or counter top. You can find other models with handles.

Weighted Vest

Ramp up your walking by adding a weighted vest. This weighted option increases your calorie burn, cardio vascular health, muscle strength in core and lower body, and even helps with bone density especially around the hips and low back. 5-10% of your body weight is the recommended weight. Start with the lesser amount and build up over time. This one comes in cute colors, but you know I got the black!

Hoka Clifton 9

This is my dead out favorite all around athletic shoe for walking or working out. I was having foot pain before I started using these and they have helped tremendously with that as well as low back pain. I do recommend rotating through with a couple of different brands during your workout week if you are having foot trouble. I use these the most but I also like brooks and asics.

Fozzy Favs 🐶

These clippers are amazing! I wish I had known about them with my last puppy. He was a Bichon Poodle mix and I groomed him with people clippers his whole little life. Oh, how much time I would have saved with these babies.

I use the #0 guard for the Fozzy’s crown and head, #2 for the body, #4 for the belly and underside, and just the clipper blade for the sanitaries. (disclaimer: I am not a groomer. This is all guess work but it works for us.)

These scissors cut through that doodle fur like butter. They are very sharp! Don’t ask me how I know. Be careful with them. Around Fozz’s face, I use some cheaper, blunt end scissors. See below.

These are not super sharp so I don’t recommed them for all over use. I only use these around the eyes and mouth or places we need a blunt end for safety reasons.

This is my go to brush I use on a daily/weekly basis. I’ve tried cheaper brands and they are now in the trash. This one really works. It has curved bristles on the end that helps keep mats away.

This brush digs a little deeper than a slicker brush and works out larger mats. It has strong bristles and can get close to the skin. I still love my slicker brush for everyday use, but when this one is needed, I’m glad I have it.

I don’t love clipping Fozzy’s black nails. I grind more often than I clip, but when it’s been a while I use the clippers to nip the ends first.

If you’re going to clip your dogs nails, you need this on hand just in case you cut too deep. Fozzy has black nails and I’ve cut too deep a couple of times. We both cried. 🥲

This little grinder is easy to use and not too noisy. It doesn’t frighten her at all.

My 85 pound doodle wears an XL in this harness. I use it exclusively to secure her in the car while traveling. I use a martingale collar to help keep her from pulling when walking her so I can’t speak to this harness for pulling issues.

She obviously had to have a custom patch to go on her harness! No sewing needed. They are velcro and fit right on the harness. I ordered the small patch and it looks perfect on the harness.

This strap hooks onto the head rest and her harness to keep Fozzy from having full run of the car. It is adjustable and allows her space to lay down or stand up but not enough space to climb in the front seat with me.

A Martingale collar tightens as the dog pulls. This makes them uncomfortable and should make them stop pulling. I like this one because it has a clasp. The first one I bought slipped over her head and was too difficult to take on and off as I only let her wear it while walking for safety reasons.

Having two handles helps to choke up on the leash for better control in public.

I slip this collar on Fozzy at night to help me to keep an eye on her in the dark. She uses it like a flashlight. I will see her lean down to “light up” what she wants to look at.

It started as boating safety when she was a pup. It continues because we have found that it is easier to grab the handle of the lfe jacket than a wet dog. Last summer Fozz could still squeeeze in her medium vest but it was tight. We’ll have to wait and see about this next boating season.

Fozzy’s favorite treats. She’s not very food motivated. It took a while to find a treat that impressed her.

Yes, I brush my dog’s teeth. Bad dental hygiene can cause some heart issues.

Fozzy loves her treat ball. She only gets it when she is crated. She practically runs to get in her crate when she sees us load it. I make a yogurt, peanut butter, oatmeal mixture that I freeze in egg cartons. We pop one out and put it in the ball with a little extra dab of fresh peanut butter on top and it keeps her busy for quite a while during our absence. I use the XL for my 80-lb baby.

Dog Shampoo

I’m still looking for that perfect dog shampoo that cleans and smells great for days on end without bothering my allergies. LMK if you have any recommendations.
