Cancun?!

Well the results are in and we did it!  Collectively, we met and surpassed our challenge goal.  Together we pledged 1134.9 miles/classes and together we walked, biked, ellipticized, stepped, ran, jogged, Zumba-ed, and group X-ed…..a grand total of ……. drum roll please……………

1204.72 miles/classes!!!

We surpassed our goal by almost 143 miles/classes.   Can I get a big WOOOO – WHOOOOO? – and maybe even a little victory dance?

Everyone worked so hard on their individual goals.  I am so proud of each and every one of you, even those who were unable to reach their personal goal.  I can say that because everyone reached my goal for them.  My deepest goal for each participant was that they would move their body more during these 40 days than they had in the previous 40 and that hopefully it would have a chance to stick and a habit would form.  So whether you were a challenger that went the extra mile or a bystander that rooted us on from the sidelines, I pray you were motivated to move.

Now where do we go from here?  Do we just stop and go back to normal routine?  Or do we keep striving for excellence? The choice is yours, but excellence sure does sound cool, especially now that you know you can reach it.  Now you know, you CAN do hard things!

By the way, when you do hard things accomplishments and results follow.  Maybe we didn’t literally or physically go anywhere on our miles but if we had, do you know where we could have gone? –try Cancun, Mexico.  Yep, you heard me right.   With 1204 miles, as the crow flies, we could have gone all the way to Cancun (and even have a few left over to start the journey home, assuming we would want to return).

¡Seas fuerte! – Be strong!

“Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortaleze.”  (Philippians 4:13 –  “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”)
