A New Season

May always feels like a natural turning point. For many of us, May brings transitions—school wrapping up, vacations being planned, longer days, later evenings, and changing family rhythms. Rather than fighting those changes, this is a great time to ask:

What routine will best support me in this season?

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is adjust the routine without letting go of the goal.

That is exactly the heart behind an important schedule update I want to share.

After 12+  wonderful years, I have made the difficult decision to wrap up our 5:30am class at the end of May.

This early morning crew has been one of the most faithful and special communities I’ve ever had the privilege to lead. Many of you have been part of this class since the very beginning, and I am deeply grateful for every early morning, every laugh, every hard workout, and every friendship that has been built in that room.  You will always hold a special place in my heart.

At this stage, I need a schedule that better supports rest, recovery, and a more sustainable weekly rhythm for myself and my family.  I know this will be hard for some of you but I also know this is the right change for me in this season of my life.

If the 5:30am class has been part of your routine, I would love to keep seeing you in the 7:30am class, or through my GOfit> at-home workout video membership, which gives you the flexibility to stay consistent on your own time (or even a combination of the above if possible). The beautiful part of fitness is that while schedules may change, the commitment to your health does not have to.  I’m so proud of your consistency and your goal crushing determination that you have shown me over the years.  Carry that spirit with you however you decide to continue with your personal workouts!

🌿 Moving Toward Summer

As we move toward summer, I want to encourage all of you to think less about doing things perfectly and more about creating rhythms that are realistic and repeatable during our crazy summer schedules..

  • A walk after dinner. (this is great for keeping blood sugar from spiking)
  • A morning stretch.
  • A 30-minute strength workout.
  • An at-home video on a busy day.
  • A workout time that fits your summer life.

It all counts.

The goal is not perfection.
The goal is to keep showing up in ways that work for this season.

Summer is by far my favorite season despite the hectic schedule it produces.  I look forward to sharing workouts with you around our vacation days and am so glad to be able to offer GOfit> videos that can travel with you this year.  I have loaded the June and July GOfit> playlists with several body-weight-only-no-equipment workouts.  Check out the catalog for a preview of what is coming.
