Jesus Won!— So Train Like It

Jesus Won!— So Train Like It

This morning I snapped a quick photo in the gym mirror.

I wasn’t trying to capture progress.
I wasn’t documenting a PR.
I wasn’t checking angles.

I was repping my FCA shirt that says two simple words:

Jesus Won.

And standing there at the squat track, looking at those words reflected back at me, something hit me.

The mirror doesn’t get the final say.

Jesus does.

So many women walk into the gym already defeated.

Defeated by:

  • The number on the scale
  • The jeans that don’t fit
  • The consistency they “don’t have”
  • The cycle they can’t seem to break

But Scripture reminds us of something powerful:

We are not fighting for victory.
We are living from victory.

When Paul writes in 1 Corinthians that God is faithful and always provides a way out of temptation, he isn’t talking about meal plans and gym routines.

He’s talking about sin.

Real sin.

And I never want to trivialize that.

But the principles still apply.

Temptation thrives in secrecy.
Victory requires awareness.
And freedom is already available.

Food is not sin.
Lack of a gym membership is not sin.
There are no “bad” foods that separate you from God.

But repeatedly neglecting the body He entrusted to you?
Living in cycles that harm you?
Letting shame drive your decisions?

That’s not freedom.

And Jesus already won freedom for you.

We don’t move our bodies to earn worth.
We don’t eat well to earn approval.
We don’t train to prove anything.

We train because our bodies are gifts.
We steward because we are grateful.
We discipline because we are free.

“All things are permissible — but not all things are beneficial.” 1 Cor 10:23

Everything you eat does not have to be healthy.

But everything you choose should move you toward strength, not slavery.

So the next time you look in the mirror — at the gym or at home — ask yourself:

Am I striving?
Or am I stewarding?

Because the victory part?

That’s already been settled.

Jesus won.

And that changes everything.
